I have written in journals since I was a child. I lost most of them along the way and had one beautiful journal stolen from our band vehicle in Oklahoma City. I still have 3 or 4, however, that cover much of the four decades I’ve now lived as an adult. In 1993 when Blinddog Smokin’ was formed and began its existence on a Mediterranean tour, I kept a band journal as our lives of constant travel were unusual and at times exciting. In 1998 I sent an entry from my journal out to the other bandmates. They received it with so much enthusiasm that I decided to send it to some ardent fans of ours via e-mail, which was still relatively new to us back then. I was surprised at the quick and grateful response, and was asked by several to send more such journal entries. read more.
