Folk/Punk Rocker Cameron Russell has emerged from the San Diego music scene with his debut album "Yesterdaydreamer", a Folk/Punk/Grunge mixed album. The title of which he chose in memory of influencial indie artist Elliott Smith.
Yesterdaydreamer is mostly a mix of Folk music with Punk/Grunge influences as seen in "Emo Kid" and "The End(acoustic)" (the two most popular songs of the album), while there are other songs that lean more towards folk ("where does love go" and "yesterdaydreamer") Bob Dylan influence, ("Im a Patient") smashing pumkins flavor, and even ("Revenge of Lucky 13" and "Dance(together we will forget)" which hint David Bowie.
Basically, the strength of the cd is in the songwriting. Listen for yourself and you'll discover that...
