A two-time ASCAP Award winner, John DeGrazio is an accomplished songwriter/composer/producer. He has a number one hit song to his credit; has worked with many major label artists; played in the group Burlap to Cashmere; and toured with Jars of Clay, DC Talk, and Jaci Valesquez.
Revolution was DeGrazio's debut album. Self-produced, the album was released on Watersound Records and is a collection of original acoustic guitar-driven songs mastered by the legendary Bob Ludwig. The album received much attention and praise by many in the industry. The songs Until You Answer and I'll Be Yours made the top ten on several radio stations and continue to get a lot of airplay. The album was recorded at DeGrazio's personal recording studio -- Waterlands — in New Jersey where he also produces for several other artists.
The new album, Abandoned World, is the second full length release from DeGrazio. It features special guests Including Universal Recording Artist Steven Delopoulos and J Pat Dalton, as well as the highly acclaimed James Warren. The album was recorded at DeGrazio's personal studio--Waterlands; the majority of it largely a solo effort ranging from thick, textured production to intimate acoustic/piano songs.
An accomplished pianist, John DeGrazio began studying music at the age of seven. It quickly became a creative outlet as he began writing melodies and songs within a year of starting to play. Early training was primarily classical, but expanded to other genres including pop/rock later in his teen years. By the age of 15, he already had a solid grasp not only on the piano, but also guitar and other string instruments. It was then when he turned his attention to building a recording studio. By 1999, Waterlands was complete with state-of-the-art design and equipment and has been modified and updated ever since.
Aside from producing his own work, DeGrazio has recorded and produced many artists for major and indie labels at Waterlands, and the studio is always booked..
