Kevin Craig has been heralded as one of the Tri-State (NY, NJ & PA) areas predominant vocalists for many years, playing over 200 dates a year at clubs, festivals, restaurants, colleges, hotels & resorts.
He has worked with acts that have opened for headliners such as Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Meatloaf, The Marshall Tucker Band and Blackfoot, Southside Johnny, Hot Tuna, Dave Mason, Vassar Clemments and The Band. Kevin has also opened for several national Folk artists, including Greg Brown & Sloan Wainwright.
Kevin was a popular fixture on the cover music circuit, presenting a tribute to artisits from the 60's, 70's, 80's & more. He captured the sound of a Duo or Trio through the use of a digital harmonizer. A Singer/songwriter performing as a soloist for the last 12 years, in 2004 he released an all acoustic debut CD, "Step By Step", which has received airplay on various internet radio stations. Kevin's wife is currently in the studio finishing his second CD entitled "Dime Store Troubadour" which is due for release in 2007.
Kevin's original music can be classified as Contempory Folk, with influences of blues, country, southern and folk...this blend of genres has listeners of all ages singing along. Kevin always enjoyed performing at venues where he could showcase his music,he was animated and entertaining. Interacting with his audience, he would share stories and sings his songs.
While performing cover gigs, the audiences were no less captivated, Kevin could "play the room" , having the uncanny abillity to "read the crowd" , always playing the music audiences wanted to hear. This is exactly why Kevin Craig was one of THE MOST sought after performers for many different venues, what we describe simply as ""The Martini To The Margarita"".
