Lori Kats, born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii, and now a Eugene-based singer-songwriter, has just released her first CD entitled To Fly. Lori's upbringing exposed her to a variety of musical styles--from Hawaiian slack key, to country, to classical. She played ukulele and piano in her younger years, but later found that the guitar possessed the soulful intimacy she was seeking. Her inner voice didn't emerge until her mid-thirties--a mature, empathic, and graceful reflection of her life experience.
Lori's lyrics are known for their warmth and truthfulness. Her music connects deeply with people through messages of hope, peace, and love. Lori's biggest wish is that her music will help people find a connection to their own and each other's hearts.
