I grew up in Cordova, Alaska. A beautiful fishing town on the coast of Alaska that is accessible only by boat or plane. I have always loved music and started playing violin when I was 9. I have been singing as long as I can remember, but around the age of eleven I started performing with my family at folk festivals and local venues. Before long I picked up the guitar and began playing and writing songs.
In highschool I played in the band Bearfoot Bluegrass, touring the country and recording an album with them. When I went to college I had a lot less time to devote to music, but I managed to find some wonderful friends to play music with when we could escape from studying. I graduated from Stanford University this last June and decided to finally take time to record my first solo album. It has been a long process, but I am really excited about how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it.
