Performing since 1987, Stu Weaver built a loyal following through touring before settling in St. Augustine, Florida as a regular performer at the Milltop Tavern, one of the premier listening rooms in the southeastern United States. Over the last 20 years he has released five albums, playing virtually every note on all of them. His credits include performances at Carolina StreetScene and the Nashville Italian Street Fair as well as coffeehouses, clubs and colleges throughout the eastern United States. Stu has opened for many major folk artists, including John Gorka, Gamble Rogers, Dave Potts and Rod MacDonald. Stu also hosts "Messages" on WFCF 88.5 FM, a weekly singer-songwriter radio show which he created in 1994 to expose more listeners to mostly acoustic music with meaningful lyrics. Starting with Dave Potts in July of 2007, he also began hosting the 'Messages' concert series, bringing artists featured on the radio show to St. Augustine to perform. The last performer in the concert series was Cosy Sheridan, appearing on 1/25/08. Outside of performing his own music Stu was also the ballpark organist and P.A. announcer for the Jacksonville Expos (AA - Southern League) for 5 seasons, ran a record store for 10 years and has done numerous television and radio commercial voice overs. A new album is in the works, tentatively set for release before the end of the year.
