The Cannonballs have established themselves with a broad range of style. Skillful in both writing and playing, these New Jersey based artists provide both solo acoustic music and a full compliment of backup artists on a number of substantial arrangements. All are seasoned musicians who are well known in the New York/New Jersey area.

The Cannonballs' casual, solid sound features refined vocal harmonies. Their original music is elegant, with unique melodies of pure Americana. Lyrics range from profound to earthy. Rick’s guitar solo’s provide a professional identity that is easy to relate to. Pete’s keyboards sustain an original style throughout that is uncompromising and extremely refreshing. Arrangements that hold attention are the norm.

Rick is a two time Billboard Magazine Song Writing Contest award winner. The Cannonballs music was also used in the soundtrack of the movie “Distraction”, a movie by producer Fiore DeRosa.

Tuesday Morning”, a WTC tribute, was written by Rick concerning the 9/11 tragedy. Being a witness created the emotional foundation for this song.

A humor is evident in their style that adds an entertaining flavor to each performance. John Sheehan’s country banjo is featured on several tunes along with Lew Gelfonds premiere fiddling. Vocal accompaniments by Karen Lauber and John Beyer are other highlights of this bands sound.
