Firefox

Firefox is an opensource browser available for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and many other operating systems.
It is a standalone browser which originated from the Mozilla suite of programs, which included a browser, email client, website builder, and IRC client. Firefox is maintained by the Mozilla Foundation.
Firefox has become more popular since about 2005 because it is widely accepted as being more secure than Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 6. In also offers additional facilities, including tabbed browsing, and user-written extensions.
Firefox Addons
With the increasing popularity of Firefox as the standard web browser, and the advantages of using Addons or Extensions with Firefox, it should
be interesting to see which Addons folks use. Since Addons are a personal preference it is sometimes amusing to see how folks can ridicule each other about their selections of Addons. :-) With that in mind, I offer unto you my latest favorite Addon, it is called Cooliris (Cool-Iris). I believe that the name implies a bit about the program, iris meaning a viewing port. Cooliris lets you view links in a new way. When a link is on a web page, normally you have to click on that link to see the web page. With Cooliris when you place your cursor on the link an option appears just to the right of the link that will allow you to preview that web page link! If you decide that you want to "open" that web page, you can so easily or you can even temporarily bookmark that page by "stacking" or docking that link to the side of your open window.
But I think one of many useful things that Cooliris does is it allows you to quickly look up information about a particular (highlighted) word by right clicking on it and selecting what information you want about the word via Google, Google Images, Wikipedia, or an online Dictionary.Though that is not all that Cooliris has, oh no, there is much, much more all for the unbelievable low price of a cup of bandwidth!
