Click the Create account/log in link at the top of the page. You only need to provide a username and password.
Provide an email address, if you ever want to recover a forgotten password, and if you would like other Wheatheads to contact you using email. Email addresses are never revealed to users, and WWR will never give, or sell, your email address to anyone. When anyone sends you email using the website email feature, your email address is not revealed to that user. The only way they will receive your email address is if you reply to an email sent this way.
