My favorite book, "The Mists of Avalon," is a retelling of the King Arthur story from the femminine/pagan perspective. In the book, the Lady of the Lake gives the sword, Excalibur, to Uther Pendragon (Arthur's father). She gives it to him because he is a leader who respects both the new and the old ways and who will lead with integrity.

I wrote this song for the man in my life who could be trusted to hold me with that same integrity and honor. - Danya River
