Watching the Sydney Olympics on TV, I was moved by Cathy's victory in the women's 400 meter race. The first aboriginal person representing her country, she seemed truly predestined to win. Win she did, and in the outpouring of good feeling that surrounded her before and after the race, it looked to me as if she was indeed helping to Advance Australia Fair. This is, of course, the Australian National Anthem.
