Talk:What's playing
From WWR
This is pretty nice, but is there any way you could write that table differently? Like "flip it" 90-degrees to the left? 12 rows and 2 columns instead of 2 rows and 12 columns. Those narrow columns drive me crazy. --J-Walk 14:52, 18 March 2006 (AKST)
- Want that in pink too?
hehe Yeah, sorta. I hear what you're saying. The way I think I'll be tackling it though is to create a bunch of system variables that will be accessed by you using stuff like:etc. so that you can build pages and arrange the info any way you want. My hope would be that people would build their own way of viewing what's playing and then share it with others. BTW, that's exactly what Version 3 allowed. But using the wiki platform is a much better way to go I think. IOW, I think you're currently looking at the beginnings of Version 4.
- What Version 3 allowed? Now it's already in the past tense?!?!? Jim, I've known you for a long time. I've seen you get excited about stuff, and then you forget about it and move on to other things. I hope this wiki does't fall into that category. This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. I think the difference here is that others will pick up the slack when you move on to the "WWR OurSpace Community" or whatever the hell comes next. --J-Walk 15:18, 18 March 2006 (AKST)
- Exactly. The going from Version 3 directly to Version 4 (this wiki) thing is kind of joke. Although portions of V3 may see the light of day (chat, stuff that doesn't wiki-ize well) I think a lot of it can be incorporated here in the wiki. I'm getting a handle on how to integrate my WWR databases into the wiki system. By the time it's over, I think most of the nice features of V3 (database searchs, reporting etc.) will be somewhere here on the wiki. I already see the day when the main portal to WWR is the wiki. And largely because of exactly what you're saying ... "I probably ain't gonna live much longer..." but it really won't matter!
hehe

Bio font size
I like the way the What's Playing page is looking, however, since I don't know how to edit the font, I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble reading the bio under the artist's picture in the third column. I found it a nice feature of the page, however, my old eyes are a bit strained. ReWoven (talk) 15:15, May 10, 2008 (AKDT)
- ReWoven - thanks for the comments. I'm going to move it to Talk:What's playing so that it can become a part of the history of the page. That's what the Talk pages are for. And because it's a very good suggestion, and because someone else may want to comment or know what happened and why 3 weeks from now, putting on the Talk page insures it becomes part of the legacy. Thanks. Jimbob (talk) 15:24, May 10, 2008 (AKDT)
- ReWoven - I increased the font size. Let me know if it's any better. Kelli (talk) 19:18, May 10, 2008 (AKDT)
- Kelli, it's really nice, thank you. It's really nice to be able to read a little bit about the artist on that page, isn't it? ReWoven (talk) 14:59, May 11, 2008 (AKDT)
'Shower of Love'
I am enjoying the Shower of Love this morning. Firewalk (talk) 04:23, May 14, 2008 (AKDT)
Loving the Three Blind Mice live concert excellent. A question for you though, how can I add them to my favourites list??
