Template talk:Wish list
From WWR
The Wish list template adds an infobox to a page that shows that the item (usually an album) is on your wish list, and adds the page to a wiki category where pages with the configured template are listed. The user name parameter is required, and colors can be configured.
Usage
In a page's edit box add the following, replacing "Your user name" with your actual user name:
- {{Wish list|Your user name}}
To change the user name and colors provide the parameters described below. The parameters must be separated with "|" pipe characters.
After the first time you add the template to an page, at the bottom of the page is a category with your username - "Username's wish list". You can click that link and save the page to make an active (found by searching) category. All the pages on which you place the configured template are listed in the category.
Parameters
- User name. The name at the top of your user page, not the nickname set in preferences. (Required.)
- Color of border and background of box on left: a color number or name. (Optional.)
- Color of box on right: a color number or name. (Optional.)
Examples
- {{Wish list|Your user name}}
| | This is on Your user name's wish list. |
- {{Wish list|Sparkit|#556B2F|#EAF1DD}}
Notes
- The first parameter is required the second two parameters are optional. If omitted, they default to these settings:
- Username|#FFB200|#FFF9D1
- For best results, use color numbers. It seems that not all browsers handle color names correctly.
