| Location: Talkeetna Case number: 08-37238 Type: MICS 6th Degree, MCA Text: On 5/15/08 at approximately 2356 hours, Talkeetna AST stopped a vehicle on Helena Way in Talkeetna for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver, Ryan Benton, age 20, of Anchorage, possessed a small amount of marijuana and also possessed alcohol in the vehicle. Benton was issued summons to appear in court for MICS 6th Degree and MCA. Benton was released from the scene. | Location: Talkeetna Case number: 08-35448 Type: Warrant Arrest Text: On 5-10-08 at 0040 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Talkeetna responded to a residence on Sheep Creek Road in Willow for a reported disturbance. During the investigation, Alaska State Troopers contacted Donald Gillespie, age 62, of Willow. During the contact, Gillespie was told that he was under arrest for 2 outstanding arrest warrants. One warrant was for $1500.00 on the original charge of a Probation Violation and the second warrant was for $2500.00 on the original charge of Assault 4. Gillespie attempted to flee on foot after being advised that he was under arrest. K-9 Roelle apprehended Gillespie a short distance away and he was taken into custody without further incident. Gillespie was subsequently transported to MatSu Pretrial Facility and held on $3500.00 bail. | Location: Talkeetna Case number: 08-35287 Type: Fugitive from Justice Text: on 5/9/08 at about 1430 hours the Coconino Country Sheriff's Office near Flagstaff Arizona contacted the Talkeetna post of the Alaska State Troopers and reported that Richard Rush, 49 currently of Talkeetna was fugitive from justice out of Arizona. At about 1530 hours AST contacted Rush at the West Rib Pub and Grill in Talkeetna where he was employed as a cook. Rush was arrested on the outstanding $75,000.00 arrest warrant which listed the original charges of sexual assault and vulnerable adult abuse. Rush was remanded to the Mat-SU Pretrial without incident. | Location: Willow Case number: 08-33548 Type: Driving While License Revoked (DWLR) Text: On 5/3/08 at approximately 1630 hours, Talkeetna AST stopped a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer at Mile 63 Parks Highway for multiple traffic violations. Subsequent investigation revealed that Brett Kollman, 22 of Chugiak, was driving with a revoked AK OL. Kollman was issued a summons to appear in court for DWLR and multiple traffic citations. Kollman's vehicle was released to a licensed driver who responded to the scene. Hein, who had an outstanding $500.00 arrest warrant for failing to appear with an original charge of driving with a revoked drivers license was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial without incident. | Location: Willow Case number: 08-32885 Type: Assault 4th Degree DV Text: On 5/1/08 at approximately 1515 hours, Talkeetna AST responded to a residence in the Willow area for a reported DV assault between family members. Subsequent investigation revealed that Michael Gutierrez, 22 of Willow, had physically assaulted a family member. Gutierrez was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was remanded without bail on one count of Assault 4th degree DV.
