This phrase may be heard on Whole Wheat Radio. It is a slang phrase used in Alaska to describe places adjacent to or in the proximity of the Alaska Railroad [1] which are primarily accessible by rail and may not accessible by road. The Alaska Railroad runs from Seward to Eielson Air Force Base with regular stops in Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali National Park and Fairbanks. An example of this phrase is: JimBob's luxurious cabin is up the tracks.
