Greetings, Anon!
I left the ball-of-rock formerly known as the Planet Bisbon (see The History of the Planetary Purges, or Whatever Happened to Our Pluto? [1]) and arrived on Earth (still a planet at last count...) while following a strange signal beamed into space called Whole Wheat Radio. I have grown to enjoy the indie music played here, and have become a wheathead. Unfortunately, even though I tired to avoid accumulating any wheatberries (prefering a state of berry-nirvana), my spacecraft was infested with wheatberry voles. They made a real mess of the craft, leaving wheatberries (and their droppings) everywhere, but they also have corrupted the data in my navigation computer. This development has delayed my return to Bisbon...which is not so bad, since I get to hang around and listen to the music while I try to rebuild the data maps. I also keep up my piloting skills by flying various Earth based aerial vehicles, including a Cessna 177 Cardinal, a Hatz biplane, and a 737. I hope that one of these days, I will have repaired the navigation computer to the point that I can return to my native Bisbon.
Quiche
Bisbonian Quiche
* 2 (8 count) packages of refrigerated crescent roll dough * 1 can of French Fried (or Freedom Fried, if you can't get French where you live) Onions * 6 eggs, beaten (chicken eggs probably work best, on Earth) * 1 can creamed corn * 1 can whole corn, drained * 1 small can diced green chiles * 8 oz sour cream * 1/2 teaspoon of granulated sodium chloride
Spray a 9x13 inch cooking pan (or two pie tins) with cooking spray. Line the pan with the crescent dough going all the way up the sides, and making sure to press all the perforations close. Sprinkle the dough with crumbled fried onions.
Preheat your betatron cooking chamber to 350 degrees F. Mix the remaining ingredients together, pour into the cooking pan. Sprinkle with any remaining fried onions. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes (more like an hour at higher altitude...the atmosphere on Bisbon is the Earth equivalent of 5000 feet, and it gets kinda tricky), or until center is setting up. If the edges of the crust brown too quickly, cover with foil. Remove from cooking chamber and let sit 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
Which Way to the Beach?
Long term Wheatheads know that I settled in the southern Arizona town of Bisbee, for sentimental reasons. But, progress on my return to my native planet has been stagnant there, and I decided I needed to try a new technology for getting back to Bisbon. I think I can use natural forces to propel me back home, and I have moved to the beach to become proficient at this technique, called "surfing". So, I now live in La Selva Beach, California, close to Santa Cruz, and a much closer drive to my day job. I've got to say, I really like it. Mountains covered by redwoods, coming right down close to the sea, lots of sealife, wonderful sunsets. The surfing is progressing very slowly. I may have to stay a while.
I considered changing my name to "La Selva Beach-onian", but this met with some resistence amongs the Wheatheads, so I stuck with Bisbonian...Bis, or Bisbo for short.

Hey, what's the weather like in La Selva Beach today?:

This is my own crude attempt at a song keyword search...left here on my own page because it is such a blunt instrument:
Here are a few pictures of the gourd banjo I recently finished...thanks for the inspiration J-Walk and 65strat.
The latest banjo, made from a VW hubcap! I call it a "vanjo".
Some toys I like to play with:
