Greetings Fellow Wheatheads,
First things first, To Jim - my most heartfelt thanks to you for this, your labor of love! I pray God will continue to richly bless you and your efforts.
I found Whole Wheat Radio in the "guide" in Real Player. Being a fan of non-mainstream music and cannot carry a tune with two buckets (singing or playing), I very much enjoy a well-crafted story set to music. Deep in the hills of southeastern Ohio, I developed a hankerin for acoustic music. Whole Wheat Radio seems to satisfy the cravings.
I also learned to appreciate a well-handling motorcycle in those same hills. My wife has learned to love my passion. I still have the motorcycle we took our first date on some twenty one years ago. Them BMW's keep goin' and goin' and goin'. As soon as I figure out how to upload the pictures, I'll post a couple.
Life has taken some twists and turns - turned 18 at Parris Island as a Marine Corps boot. Fought the Cold War, the bottle and the wacky tabacky - came out on the other side somewhat worse for the wear - but with my sanity intact and an outlook that let's me keep the important things first. All the rest is just STUFF and stuff just don't matter much. Lived in the deep south (All-bennie Gawgia) for a spell, enjoyed the Walker lake area in Nevada for a time, lived in the Ozarks a couple of different times and have settled in the flatlands of Kansas for the time being. Along the way I've acquired a couple of college degrees, three sons and a wonderful grandson - not in that order of importance! Miss Tilly builds airplanes in Wichita and I get to toss Caterpillar parts.
Life is good because God is Good. Live well, Love much and Laugh often, for God indeed has a sense of humor - after all he created you and me!
To all the Wheatheads 'round this wonderful blue ball we call home, my most sincere grettings from the Wheat State! And thanks for letting me join this community.

All, The music has been great the past few days, but for some strange reason, and it happens from time to time, I have felt about half a step out of sync with the rest of the world. My jobs doing great, our sons are both back home for a spell and life is good, just been a bit of a funk. Went for a ride with one of the boys tonight low 80's and nice riding weather - went to Winfield for ice cream ( I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream - I don't know where that came from) and saw the signs that the Walnut Valley Music Festival is coming up in late Sept. Labor Day Weekend brings a road trip to Colorado Springs - 15 or so God Fearing motorcycle enthusiasts playing in the mountains - maybe I'm focused on other things than the present. ------ Blessings to all!! 08/08/08
