10/19/08 I got to meet Esther for the first time! She arrived in Denver last night. When Esther arrived in airport, we held up a "WWR" sign. She cracked up right away and loved it!
We talked for 6 hours! Best night ever!!!!!!
Colorado Allen has visited the Wheathole and Wheatpalace so he knows Jim and Esther. Until yesterday, I still believed Esther was an imaginary friend who could type emails and speak online. SHE'S REAL!
We'll see her again Sunday.
- Good to hear she got there OK. I met her Thursday night, had dinner with her and took her to the airport. I have some mythical friends too, one lives in Colorado; someone we call "Pretending to Work". Maybe someday she'll come to Alaska so I can meet her.

7/9/08 FUN STUFF AGAIN! Got to hear and meet Danny Schmidt!!! He's just amazing and they had the largest turnout ever at the summer Picnic Series. He sold a huge lot of CDs too. Touring with Carrie Elkin who has a beautiful voice. Catch them if you can. (my guy Colorado Allen provided sound. The sound was gorgeous. )
7/8/08 Update on Aaron English Band: It was a tour bus accident. Yes, every musician's nightmare. The band escaped without injury but all is Not well. Sorry I can't say more. That's up to the band and they have their hands full right now.Pretendingtowork (talk/contribs) 16:58, July 8, 2008 (AKDT)
7/7/08 Update: Serious sad stuff regarding the Aaron English Band. They are ok, but tour is unknown for the moment. Please send them your warmest thoughts in this time of tragedy. I will report more when they are allowed to give more info.
