Chat stuff
Just wanted to make a note that I think I detected frustration on your part about the changes to the chat setup here. I'd ask that you be patient and bear with me/us through this change. WWR has a long history of upheaval during radical (and not so radical) technical changes usually instigated by me. It used to be considered a chance for everyone to get a sort of grip on reality and realize, "Um, it's just an internet site ... let's not get all freaked out here ... if the whole thing went bellyup tomorrow we'd still all be able to live and breathe and work in our gardens.....". We'd make lots of jokes about it. But this time, because it's going to upset the apple cart on some people who I think have come to depend on the WWR chat for sustenance or self-worth or whatever ... and because I am not good at dealing with people who have drinking problems or self-esteem problems etc. ... it seems like it's taken on a darker tone. So, once again, just wanted to say please have patience and help keep the mood light as we work through this. I'm glad you're here and recognize that "new blood" is important and I don't want to scare you off yet.

Jim, I've been a listener for the past couple of months (not a contributor, though I posted a photo on my User Page today) and don't know how to use Open Mic to wish Atuu well. Should I just use his User talk page? Various Wiki "Help" topics suggest I can add to Open Mic, but I don't know whether to use TALK or EDIT?
