DSL in Alaska

Hi Jimbob -

This was my original question about DSL I had e-mailed earlier:

I have a cabin over by Chickaloon that I’m going to be at off and on starting in a couple weeks, and I want to get decent internet service there (partly so I can listen to WWR!). The only option I’ve been able to find so far is through MTA, but they are pricey and they have a 10GB/month data limit. Are there any other options in that part of the state you are aware of?

Wow - they have DSL in Chickaloon huh? MTA is the only choice around here. GCI is working on getting here, but I believe they have to use MTA lines so there's been a lot of haggling and legal stuff. Hoonah is pretty knowledgeable about DSL options around here too, so you might want to ask him. But, as far as I know, MTA is it. (Unless you use a satellite link which I believe is even more expensive.)

Yup, am moving audio magazine feeds around. It's going to be several days, maybe a week or two. The Audio_magazines page has everything listed, but there is no RSS feed yet. And (this should make you happy) one of the reasons for all the work on the audio magazines is that I plan to take all the ones Esther has done over the last few weeks and upload them. So you'll have a lot to listen to at once. But got to make program changes to facilitate it. In the end, I'm hoping to make audio magazine uploads easier on me so that I don't mind doing them.
