Xine
From WWR
NOTE: due to a wikimedia quirk, all articles must begin with a capital letter, thus this article is likely forever misnamed.
xine is an opensource media player for Linux. It can be run from the command line or using xine-GUI under X-windows.
xine is used as an engine by several other GUIs, e.g. Kaffeine under the KDE desktop.
One advantage of using xine for WWR, over the simpler XMMS, is that it will superimpose the track title on the screen on change of track, using the On Screen Display (OSD) feature.
Alternative Linux players for WWR: XMMS, MPlayer, RealPlayer, Mpg123
